WHO'S ROMEO

The story of this company originated a few years ago after Paolo's decision to give up eating animals. One day while playing with Romeo, his loveable, bright-eyed Bolognese dog, he got the answer to some questions that had been bothering him. "Can I sell leather products with a good conscience? How can one whose love of beauty has always been part of his shoe making business give it up? What kind of shoes do vegetarians wear?"

The answer was that instead of giving up selling shoes, he would change the materials they were made of and the method of production. To apply his philosophy to his work, would not be easy, but it would make Paolo a pioneer in his field. And this is how the nucleus of the Romeo Company came to be.

A few months later, Paolo met Federico Bellò. By fusing their experience, commercial and productive, Di Romeo Vegan was born and the first shoes and accessories with Italian style and elegance were produced.

The company takes its name from Paolo's loveable, bright-eyed, white Bolognese dog, who inspired him in the first place.
